The cult-favourite, feel-good drawing club is back for another year! Body positive, inclusive and utterly uncompetitive, Gladdy Drawing Club combines life drawing and performance. Grab a pencil and get cosy in Bondi Pavilion Art Gallery, surrounded by the finalist artworks of the 2026 Waverley Art Prize.

This year’s lineup is stacked with Gladdy Drawing Club favourite models, finalists from the Waverley Art Prize and the return of the incredible Wendy Sharpe!

Noticed something a little different at Bondi Pavilion Courtyard this week? ⭐🤩

Welcome to Accordion by @amigoandamigo, a playful sensory public art experience that celebrates postcode 2-0-2-6 in the year 2026.

🌈 Six giant interconnected archways ablaze with vibrant colours, each inspired by the timeless accordion. Crafted from illuminated steel rings and adorned with vividly printed fabrics, these archways transform into dynamic formations beckoning all to walk through. At the base of each accordion lies an interactive pad; with each joyful leap, the artwork springs to life, weaving melodies that cascade through waves of light and colour along its towering form. ✨

Accordion extends beyond the festival period, so there’s plenty of time to bask in the light! 💛🧡❤️

No stranger to chaos and affectionately dubbed “the queen of high-functioning unhinged”, @the_thaliajoan will take audiences on a chaotic journey through comedy on 3 July. Equal parts relatable and unpredictable, Thalia-Joan’s energetic storytelling and likeable madness have made her a crowd favourite.

Much-loved comedy veteran @imaanfrankhadchiti takes to the stage on 4 July, bringing with him 20 years’ experience in stand-up, television and film. With a long history of multiple sold-out shows, he joins Bondi Festival Comedy Gala to host the final night’s antics with his signature authenticity and distinctive storytelling style.
